Biography

Jana received her first piano and violin lessons at the age of 4. During the years she won several first prizes at competitions as Prinses Christina Concours, “Jugend musiziert” and “Deutscher Tonkünstlerverband” in the categories “piano solo”, “piano four hands”, “violin solo”, as well as in chamber music trials at local and federal levels. In 2014 she performed with the “Niederrheinischen Sinfonikern” after being a prize winner of the competition “Bühne frei”. 2020 she participated at the “III Online Vladimir Krainev Moscow International Piano Competition” and got into the semifinal of the IV Competition 2021. In  2021 Jana has been awarded Silver Hands in the Category “Piano Emergent” at the Carles&Sofia International Piano Competition, in the same year she was part of the Internationales Euregio-Rhein-Waal Studentenmusikfestival.

In 2023 she had been playing at the Internationale Lied Festival in Zeist. In the same year she worked in Opera Zuid in the production of „Le Nozze di Figaro“ together with Maestro Federico Santi. Jana has performed on stages like the Kaiser Friedrich Halle in Mönchengladbach, the Seidenwebernhaus in Krefeld, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Concertgebouw in Nijmegen and the Theaters in Kerkrade and Heerlen. 

During her career as a pianist she received Masterclasses from Pianists such as Prof. Bernd Goetzke, Janusz Olejniczak, Prof. Boguslaw Jan Strobel, Sergei Edelmann, Maurice Lammerts van Bueren and others. 

Jana started her Bachelor of Music at the Conservatorium Maastricht, where she took piano lessons from Prof. Joop Celis. From September 2023 Jana continued her Bachelor studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and is now student in the class of Prof. Naum Grubert.

Her passion towards poetry and singing led to various collaborations with the Liedclass of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, her next project being Schubert’s Winterreise with the Tenor Niël Stapelberg.
